Holiday Concert- Sunday, 12/4/2011, Central Virginia Masterworks Chorale
Prophets, Dreams and Dancing: Music for Choir and Brass! Celebrate the holiday season with choral music and full Brass and Percussion Ensemble. The Chorale will perform John Rutter's "Gloria" then the intimate Welsh Lullaby, "Suo-Gan," the lively motives of Gardner's "Tomorrow Shall Be My Dancing Day," Mack Wilberg's festive setting of "Awake, Arise and Hail the Morn," and Glen Rudolph's "The Dream Isaiah Saw." The audience can also sing along to traditional holiday carols. Enjoy the solo artistry of Tenor Jeffrey Prillaman and more- this is a program of glorious music!
