Boise-based band Shakin' Not Stirred will release their second CD titled In The Wood, at a concert scheduled for 7:00pm, Friday, November 11 at the Linen Building, 1402 W. Grove Street, Boise, Idaho. Sure they're older folks, but all the more reason to appreciate the musical concoctions of Shakin' Not Stirred. After playing the music scene in Idaho for the past four years, the bandShakin' Not Stirred confesses that on more than one occasion they've been approached by youthful fans who enthusiastically offer "I was at your last concertand my mother LOVES your band!" But actually, any age will enjoy this well"seasoned" group of musicians, whose three-part harmonies and original material has set the stage for their second CD, In TheWood, which will be for sale at the release concert scheduled for Friday, November 11, at the Linen Building in Boise. Some liken Shakin' not Stirred to a home-grown cross between Dan Hicks and His Hot Licks and the Wailin' Jennies. Most of the material on this CD is original and the musicians rearrange their covers for a fresh, unique sound. On stage, the group is known for their contagious good humor and energetic performances. Shakin' Not Stirred has shared the stage with Carrie Rodriguez, David Grisman,Bearfoot as well as many other musicians.
