LATINO FASHION WEEK 2011 CLOSING PANEL: ART IN FASHION
Chicago Latino Fashion takes the city by storm with its annual fall Chicago Latino Fashion Week, offering new looks and trends from local, national and international Latino designers. In this year's theme of "Art in Fashion," Latino Fashion Week will be highlighting and honoring the art that is fashion. To further grow and share a greater understanding of that art, there will be fashion events, artistic displays, lounges, and a three day Expo, with a variety of creative and educational presentations. This year the Latino Fashion Week is closing with a panel discussion at the Instituto Cervantes of Chicago that will cover the diverse entities that help create fashion locally and internationally. The panel will be moderated by Arabel Alva Rosales, Co-Executive producer of Latino Fashion Week and attended by personalities of the Latino fashion world such as Frederick Valentin, international model and host of a reality show on Telemundo, Jorge Perez de la Habana, designer with a bridal line at Macy's (debuting his QuinceaƱera line at Latino Fashion Week this year), Alicia Estrada, designer, Socrates McKinney, President of the Latin American Designers Association and Co-director of DominicanaModa, Dominican Republic's Fashion Week.
