Velocity's Guest Artist Series presents Nugent+Matteson Dance
Jennifer Nugent and Paul Matteson will present Pieced Apart, an evening of dances. Fare Well, a duet by Nugent and Matteson with music by Edmund Mooney, is described by Jennifer Dunning of The New York Times as that rare work that lives up to its advance billing... conjuring up two imperfectly messy lives and two ordinary human beings who just might find themselves some new place if they only stay the course a delight.
Seattle based company d-9 will perform a quartet version of Fare Well. Using a similar process of playing with ways to generate partnering and movement that is surprising, quirky and tender, a new idea of an original duet will be made in the two weeks leading up to the performance.
