Somewhere to be Found: A Stairwell's Field Trip
The 9th Stairwell's Field Trip, 'Somewhere to be Found' is a free, interactive artist-led walking tour in Cincinnati's Mt. Auburn neighborhood, part of the Stairwell's summer artist residency at Wave Pool.
This 90-minute group excursion from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 30 is led by Stairwell's Co-Directors Sarah Hotchkiss and Carey Lin. We'll explore the steps in and around Mt. Auburn, with indoor and outdoor stops, snacks and group activities. We'll conclude this Field Trip at nearby Milton's Prospect Hill Tavern for cold refreshments.
Each Stairwell's Field Trip is based on its unique location, history, surrounding architecture and thematic elements encountered along the way. Our recent Cincinnati Field Trip 'Head Over Hills' in Eden Park included jokes about the heat, a Prohibition-era ghost story, a guessing game of Cincinnati celebrity signatures, a trust exercise through museum galleries and a version of Pictionary inspired by Frank O'Hara and Larry Rivers. The Field Trip ended with a pizza party at the Mt. Adams pool.
Free and open to the public. RSVP via Brown Paper Tickets no later than 10 AM the day of the Field Trip. Event details will be emailed to registered attendees.
