Truly Terrorific Horror Show!
It takes a very special kind of twisted mind to match up with Melody Manglers, but fortunately the mind of Voodoo Pixie is just as strange a place to visit. A predominant member of Screaming Chickens, a rabid fan of horror movies, ghost stories and the truly bizarre, Voodoo is pleased to share her dark dreams with audiences through this show.
Abra-Cadaver is truly the brain-child of two women, dangerous in their own rights, but combined....can be absolutely deadly.
Miss Astrid has been called "the true weimar fraulein" by Mel Gordon, author of Voluptuous Panic. She is known for her deadpan delivery, impeccable timing and razor sharp wit. The creator of The Va Va Voom Room 1997-present performer with The Velvet Hammer Burlesque 1996-present. Besides emceeing her own show in NYC and San Francisco, she has hosted burlesque shows all over the US including the New York Burlesque Festival and Miss Exotic World Pageant in Las Vegas, as well as touring in Switzerland, Sweden, Scotland and every other country beginning with an "s".

Doors open at 8pm with shows starting at 9pm. Seating is by general admission so arrive early for the best spots. The venue comfortably seats 200 with fantastic sightlines to the large stage so you won't miss one bit of the action. A licensed bar is provided by the Wise Club throughout the shows and the downstairs lounge is open for drinks before and after the show (often a great place to meet cast and crew). Located just off of Commercial Drive on the corner of Victoria Drive and Adanac Street the Wise is near both the Commercial and Hastings bus routes with ample street parking in the neighborhood.
Our fans tend to be really fun people and it's not unusual to see them adorned in anything from evening gowns to nearly nothing at all. We definitely encourage dressing up to be part of the fun - it doesn't matter if it's formal wear, costume, vintage, burlesque or anything else your creative mind can conceive.
