Here's what the media is saying about them ... "The Show Ponies are a West Coast-based bluegrass/old-timey band who, at their best, embody all the raw energy and enthusiasm inherent in the genre, fortified with on-target lyrics and a refreshingly modern sensibility." David Maine, Pop Matters
"We're Not Lost was financed through patronage by fans, underscoring the commitment of the Show Ponies' audience to their success. The recording communicates the sense that the group must have quite an entertaining stage presence. It also conveys the impression that this is an approach to rooted music more suited to a demographic younger than the one I happen to occupy. That's not a criticism, of course. These guys are very good at what they do, and if you like a well-crafted, energetic, pop-inflected sound far better than anything you'll get on country radio, this is for you." Jerome Clark, Rambles.net
"Lest I digress, I will rein in my descriptions to simply conclude: this is a very, very good album.one well-worth checking out if you haven't already heard or seen The Show Ponies." Jackie Morris, FolkWorks.com
"They pull together pieces of old time Appalachian folk with strong harmonies and rhythms to create a bouncy, fervent energy that's starting to make waves." Kim Ruehl, FolkAlley
"Most of the songs are a little slower, a little more melancholy, but there's just as much class and confidence as We're Not Lost's lead single. It's a coming of age album for us young'ns in our 20s. But before you roll your eyes and back away, know that the Show Ponies embrace the uncertainty of this stage in life and take things as they come. It's a mature outlook on things -- clearly they've come through the other side. As they recount the sad and happy times, though, you'll be with them every step of the way." Rachel C, No Depression
"Every song here belongs, placed carefully within a considered arc. As the album progresses, the upbeat, spunky bluegrass gradually softens to reveal raw and gentle tracks that would have been at home on the soundtrack for "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?",Sometimes the songs evoke adventureat other times a slow, difficult trekbut the lyrics always manage to preserve a sense of hopefulness and forward motion." Phillip and Janelle Ajian, Patheos
