Sustainable Livestock Production Short Course
Experts from Washington State University and experienced livestock producers will cover a wide range of topics including: pasture management, breed selection, health and disease, breeding, facilities, marketing, and financial planning and record keeping. Participants will learn directly from other producers, visit farms, as well as classroom presentations. Local or niche meat products including pasture-raised, grass-fed, certified organic, and halal allow producers to differentiate their products in the marketplace. Demand for niche meats is strong in multiple market channels, including farmer's markets.
