Pop Meets Classical!
Three of the area's best vocal groups - Illumni Men's Choral, PLUtonic A Capella, and HERmonic have joined forces to present "Pop Meets Classical"!
You'll hear some of today's biggest hits as PLUTtonic and HERmonic rock them out modern A Capella style. Then you'll hear Illumni Men's Chorale join in with it's new "Pop-ssical" style: Ever wondered what would happen if Brittney Spears met the 15th Century? You'll find out!
This show will have something for everyone.
Illumni is a classical men's choir that's never been afraid to step out of the box. In its first two years, Illumni produced its first CD (Lux Spiritu), recorded music for a soundtrack album, and created its "Pop-ssical" style, which has landed it on national TV. PLUtonic a capella is the winner of this year's Harmonie Festival 2011 which took place in Germany, and placed 3rd at the 2011 International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella. PLUtonic is all about the power that music has to bring people joy and hope. They are a bunch of guys that come from different backgrounds who come together for the love of acappella music. Since inception their popularity has grown in the local community of Tacoma, Washington, nationally and worldwide. They describe themselves as, "a bunch of goofy guys who love to have fun but most of all we share a common bond of the love for music."
HERmonic is bringing some "Girl Power!" to the mix. A student run, managed & produced organization, HERmonic is a group of strong, diverse women who want to share their love of music with the community. It was the love of music that brought them together and they work to spread that message of unity throughout the community.

Formed just one month ago, PitchCraft is working to bring their unique sound and high level of musicianship to the Seattle community. Composed of Seattle area musicians from various backgrounds of jazz, classical, barbershop, and more, PitchCraft aims to specialize in contemporary music while creating a sound distinctly their own. This concert is presented by the Illumni Music Foundation, a Washington State nonprofit dedicated to bringing music to new singers and audiences.
