Construct
Bellingham Repertory Dance (BRD) presents "Construct" an evening of six fearless, vibrant contemporary works that celebrate the company's sixth season.
Audience members will see a variety of works; from smart, comical dance-theater such as the piece, "Politics, Religion, Sex" to more classical works, such as "Hiatus:" a duet between a male and female dancer; and "Allemande," a solo that's concurrently being performed by MOVE: the company at the famous Joyce SoHo Theater in New York City.
BRD's nine accomplished dancers will perform works by regional, national and international choreographers. This year, choreographers include Daniel Stark, award-winning dance-maker whose work has been featured in numerous American College Dance Festivals; Mark Haim, who has choreographed for companies including the Joffrey Ballet II, the Limon Dance Company and Nederlands Dance Theater; and Josh Beamish, artistic director of the internationally-acclaimed MOVE: the company based in Vancouver B.C.
Show times are 7:30 p.m., Nov. 4-5 and 11; 5 p.m., Nov. 6 and 13; 5 and 7:30 p.m. Nov. 12. At the Firehouse PAC 1314 Harris Ave Bellingham, WA 98225.
