Global Stilt Congress enacts "The Legislation: Food and Shelter"
The ArcoTsunami Festival stirs a brew of daredevil feats on stilts with aerial dance and physical theater full of virtuosity and grace on the beautiful grounds of Arcosanti, located in Mayer, an hour north of Phoenix on I-17.
The final weekend's presentation on October 17th begins at 5:00 pm and is ticketed at $25. It features the collaborative efforts of the Global Stilt Congress enacting "The Legislation: Food & Shelter". This strolling performance with guest poet Logan DirtyVerbs guides spectators throughout Arcosanti with an eclectic crew of guest musicians while an international collection of professional stilt performers from the Global Stilt Congress interacts with its unique architecture. Afterwards DJ Logan DirtyVerbs drops beats for all to dance to.
"The Legislation: Food & Shelter" is an enactment of the Global Stilt Congress. Spectators are led through the labyrinth of visionary architect Paolo Soleri's urban laboratory by an international crew of acrostilters integrating aerial dance, butoh, contact improvisation, axis syllabus and afro-carribean dance. The aesthetic environment of Arcosanti is illuminated through this unique choreographic journey that is the culmination of the Global Stilt Congress annual convening.

ARCOTSUNAMI FESTIVAL
Global Stilt Congress is an annual gathering hosted by The Carpetbag Brigade that serves as an arena for stilt-oriented performers and practitioners from around the globe to come together, exchange skills, develop craft, and strengthen our community and network. During Global Stilt Congress invited teachers and directors share their techniques, compositional strategies and life experiences through classes, lectures, and a culminating site specific performance project.
