One of the region's most beloved local artists, Tony Furtado is a banjo-virtuoso and multi-instrumentalist who refuses to conform to simple categorization. By integrating American Roots musicBlues, Jazz, Appalachian folk, Celtic, Indie Rockand his own progressive use of melody, rhythm and improvisation, Furtado has proven himself a singular and leading voice in the nation. His latest album, "The Bell", is part of a prolific recording career, but one that that is particularly special to him as it's marked a journey back to his roots and the creative freedom to make "his music, done his way."
