Connections: An Evening of Dance

Annex Contemporary Dance Company presents "Connections: An Evening of Dance" on Friday, August 14 at the Dance Hall in Kittery, Maine.
In its premiere event, the Seacoast's new professional performing dance troupe will feature several contemporary dance pieces that explore the connections and disconnections that permeate our relationships. Follow the dancers as they create a space for their moods to inhabit their steps and for their relationships to unfold, discovering along the way what draws us together and what pushes us apart from each other.

Also performing is guest artist and choreographer Ariana Champlin of 49th Parallel Dance Company. Ms. Champlin will present her original, inventive choreography in a piece set on The Dance Annex Studio's Summer Intensive students, as well as perform a solo from her company's repertoire. Born and raised in Maine, Ariana Champlin is the co-founder and Artistic Director of 49th Parallel, a NYC-based dance company, whose work has been performed throughout NYC, Maine and Canada.

Annex Contemporary Dance Company is the newly formed resident dance company of The Dance Annex Studio located in Kittery, Maine. Julie Hebb, Artistic Director, brings over 20 years of professional dance experience to this event. Comprised of local dance professionals, ACDC aims to provide opportunities for movement artists in the area to perform, grow and flourish, and to continue to enrich local audiences, students and appreciators of the dance arts.
