Chris Jones and The Night Drivers
Whether it's in the studio or on stage, Chris Jones & The Night Drivers are making some of the most distinctively elegant yet driving music to be heard anywhere today, and they're delivering it with a unique blend of dry wit, emotional authenticity and broad humor that's won the loyalty of a growing number of fans across the country and around the world.
Chris Jones and The Night Drivers celebrates their 20th anniversary with a mid-August debut release of Runaway Tonight for bluegrass's top shelf Mountain Home Music label. Filled with more original material, including three Jones-Weisberger co-writes, the new project keeps the spotlight squarely on the Night Drivers themselves, with just a few guests including label mates Darin & Brooke Aldridge, former Night Driver fiddler Casey Driessen (Tim O'Brien, Steve Earle) and legends Del McCoury and Bobby Hicks joining in.
Founder and front man of The Night Drivers, Chris Jones is a quadruple threat as a singer, a songwriter, a guitarist and, thanks to his role hosting SiriusXM's Bluegrass Junction, as the most widely heard broadcasting voice in bluegrass. His immediately recognizable voice, warm sense of humor and abundance of talent have combined to make him one of the music's most distinctive personalities, and one of its strongest artists. The Night Drivers feature Southern Illinois own Mark Stoffell on mandolin, Sirus Radio host Ned Luberecki on banjo and bassist and IBMA award winning songwriter John Weisberger.
The Old Feed Store is a great listening room environment and offers an intimate small room concert experience for the audience and musicians alike! Doors open at 7:00 and soups, sandwiches, popcorn and snacks are served. A BYO event.! Personal coolers only please
