Leche De Tigre's Latin Gypsy Funk Halloween in Kona
Get your Halloween party started with Leche De Tigre!

Leche De Tigre will rock out this Halloween at Rockstarz in Kona. There will be dancing by the Nouveau Gypsy Bellydancers, a costume contest, and prizes.
Costume contest theme is Latin/Gypsy/Funk. The winner will get to play the theremin on stage with Leche De Tigre during a song. There will be other prizes, as well.
Doors are at 9:00pm, with live music starting at 9:30pm.
Tickets are $10 advance / $15 gets you in at the door.

About Leche De Tigre
Three nylon-string guitars, drums, bass, cello, percussion, vocals form the 8-piece group Leche De Tigre (LEH-cheh deh TEE-grey), started in 2009 in Kona, Hawaii. A blend of musical styles known as latin gypsy funk, their sound is laced with rock influences and relies on the percussive and melodic impact of acoustic guitars to engage the audience, bringing with it a wide appeal.

About Nouveau Gypsy Bellydance
Nouveau Gypsy Bellydance is a troupe directed by Stephanie Bolton specializing in the ancient and evolving art of Bellydance. The Nouveau Gypsy style is a fusion of ethnic tribal dances derived from India, North Africa, and countries surrounding the Mediterranean executed with an Art Nouveau aesthetic straight off a vintage postcard. Their signature movements are characterized by intricate muscle isolations and elaborately elegant armwork. You'll find them dripping in jingling jewelry, balancing trays on their heads, playing finger cymbals and spinning with colorful veils.
