Canadian jazz-cabaret crooner and MAC-award nominee*, Vincent Wolfe, makes his Pubaret debut with his acclaimed show "Divas Are a Boy's Best Friend" a musical roller-coaster ride celebrating the ladies of song who Vincent has known, idolized or shared a stage with. His captivating warmth and vocal expressiveness have been described by Manhattan Transfer founding member Laurel Massé as "somewhere between Chet Baker and Mel Tormé a wonderful place to be!" According to jazz legend Marlena Shaw, Vincent has been "blessed with a golden sound". With three critically acclaimed albums (Trust The Vibe, Until Tomorrow, Weaver of Dreams) and hundreds of club, concert and festival dates under his belt, Vincent has built a reputation as a captivating, sometimes edgy performer with a fast-growing fan base. Stateside, he's performed at prestigious jazz venues like Blues Alley, Sculler's, The Trafalmadore Café and Chene Park Amphitheatre as an opening act for the legendary jazz-soul diva Jean Carne. In 2008 he made his cabaret debut in New York City at Helen's Hideaway Room, as well as appearances at Birdland, Barnes & Noble (Lincoln Centre) and the Laurie Beechman Theatre. Vincent also played his first club dates in Quebec City and Montreal that summer, garnering praise and wowing French Canadian audiences. In 2009 Vincent embarked on a year-long engagement with the highly prestigious Cunard cruise ship line. Performing nightly with an 8 to 16-piece big band orchestra, Wolfe entertained thousands of thrilled passengers on the Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria while traveling the world, making new fans and trying to stay out of trouble! Vincent Wolfe is currently promoting his recently-released third CD, "Weaver of Dreams" which features a hip, chilled-out mix of jazz standards, pop tunes and lesser-known gems mainly from the 40s and 50s.
