ARS SPECTRA: The Artistic Autistic October 27th - October 30th
A Four-Day Presentation of Art, Music, Song and Performance by Autistic Artists.
A four-day extravaganza showcasing the wide-ranging talents of people on the autism spectrum. A mixture of free and ticketed events including an art exhibition, live performances and workshops. Individual events listed below.
SATURDAY:
The Spiritual Spectrum Saturday, October, 29th 2011 2pm - 4pm
Explore and discover more about being "spiritual advocates" in autism's journey. This session will include all disabilities and religious/spiritual views and values. Recommended for autistic adults and for parents, caregivers and professionals dealing with the autistic but open to all.
Admission: Free to the Public.
Mapping The Spectrum Saturday, October 29th, 2011 5pm to 7:30 pm
Mapping the Spectrum provides introductory ideas, strategies and "power tools" that will improve options and directions for futures and transition planning from early childhood through adulthood. We will begin a written road map to your child's future which will help define "needs" and "wants" in your child's life.
Admission: $10 here or at the door.
Sunday
The Advocacy Spectrum Sunday, October 30th, 2011 2:30pm - 6:30pm
If you are a Self Advocate, Mom, Dad or"Manager" Working to Build a Future Career for your self or your child, come hear internationally recognized experts in autism, the arts and in this interactive workshop where you'll be an active participant and walk away with "power tools" for growing skills, resumes, self esteem, and marketing strategies.
Admission: $10 here or $15.00 at the door.
