Vancouver International Flamenco Festival | Flamenco Rosario
FLAMENCO ROSARIO will present the second part of its historical flamenco retrospective with a new production "Fast-Forward Rewind" coalescing selected excerpts from two highly regarded repertoire works "Raices" (1997) and "La Monarca" (2013): this unique legacy performance will tie in and adapt key choreographic narratives from both works into one fluid flamenco vision demonstrating the form's hybrid nature, coveted energy and the Company's decades of artistic transformation from its traditional forms symbolized by the roots figure ("Raices") to groundbreaking contemporary innovations here interpreted as artistic freedom through the wing symbol ("La Monarca").
