Producer Dinner: Tomatoes and Bi-Rite Farm
Tomato gnocchi in smoked trout cream. Yellow tomato wedges with basil sorbet and whipped burrata. These are a few of the ideas we are kicking around for the menu for this evening of tomato celebration. Simon and our Farm Summer School put more tomato plants in the ground than ever before this year, and it is time to celebrate! Why? After a cool summer, this late heat is ramping up the sugars which mean flavor is starting to boom. If you are a tomato lover, this dinner cooked by Andrew Pimlott and Susan Kim is a must do fall affair. The multi-course dinner comes paired with wines and stories alike.
