Crescendo's Summer 2015 Benefit Concert
For a special summer benefit concert Crescendo welcomes you to enjoy a program with Baroque harpsichord and vocal works. "Stories of Six Immigrants through the works of Baroque Composers" features keyboard pieces by P. Philips, D. Zipoli, J.J. Froberger, D. Scarlatti and P. Royer and an Aria by G.F. Handel. The stories of the travels of the musicians are told and also shown on maps.
Crescendo's Founding Artistic Director will play a Flemish harpsichord built by Carl Dudash and decorated by Marilee Wagner. Soprano soloist Jordan Rose Lee will perform as guest artist.
This performance will be held at a lovely and unique location - The Barn of the Prentices in West Cornwall, CT known to local patrons of the arts for its exhibits and musical performances.
Following the concert, cocktails and hors d'oeuvres will be served on a porch overlooking the property, and there will be a display of kinetic sculptures by Tim Prentice inside and around the barn.
