A Celebration of the Life of David Y.H. Lui
A Celebration of the life of legendary Vancouver impresario David Y.H. Lui will take place Monday, October 24 at 7 p.m. at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre.
Mr. Lui, who introduced Vancouver audiences to a world of international dance and culture through the 1970s and 80s, died peacefully at home on September 15 at the age of 66.
Among his many accomplishments Mr. Lui co-founded the Vancouver Dragon Boat Festival, was the artistic producer of Vancouver's First Night celebrations to mark the turn of the millennium, and was a major force in the founding of Ballet BC and the Scotiabank Dance Centre.
Admission to this Celebration of the Life of David Y.H. Lui is free, but RSVPs are requested.
