Symphony Parnassus Holiday Concert
Symphony Parnassus invites you to join us in a celebration of the season with a program that reflects the festive spirit of the holidays.
Our concert will begin with Respighi's "Trittico Botticelliano", which pays tribute to a triptych of Botticelli's most famous works: "La Primivera" (Spring), "L'adorazione die Magi" (The Adoration of the Magi), and "La Nascita di Venere" (The Birth of Venus).
Karl Jenkins is reputed to be the most performed living composer in the world and it is easy to see why: his music has immediate, visceral appeal. His magnificent work, In These Stones Horizons Sing, is a celebratory piece, written for a festive occasion. Symphony Parnassus is pleased to be joined for this performance by the captivating Viva la Musica! choir.
San Francisco assistant principal cellist Amos Yang will round out our holiday program as he accompanies us in Dvorak's masterful Cello Concerto.
