PLAY - GREAT DAY IN A MORNING
The Interracial relationships between the slave and their Masters are part of America's long and troubled history of slavery and in part contribute to racial conflict in this country today. Both the slave and the Master were often hurt by the horrific systems that pit white fathers against their black sons and daughters. "Great Day In A Morning" reveals the scars and pain suffered by the Master and the children he fathered. It also reveals how some slaves became plantation overseers or owners, but when given an opportunity to flee some chose the "unknown" in the name of freedom for the sake of building and keeping their family together.
