TASTE & TALK #1 | August 11, 5:30pm -7:00pm
Slow Food Toronto is thrilled to launch the Slow Food TASTE & TALK SERIES, eight community events at restaurants across the city that address issues relevant to today's food system.
Each TASTE & TALK event begins with a talk led by a food expert and is followed by a taste of food related to the topic of discussion.
TASTE & TALK is an opportunity for farmers, food producers, chefs and eaters to:
-Connect with like minded people in a convivial atmosphere -Learn about food issues and new cooking techniques -Sample local food and wine, and meet the food producers
Sustainable Meat is the topic of our launch event and focuses on how farmers can raise & ranch good, clean, fair and local meat while restoring soil.
Hosted by Brad Long from Cafe Belong, Bryan Gilvesy from YU Ranch and Jeffrey Linton from Linton Pasture Pork will lead the discussion, and we will sample their products.
