San Diego Beer Week: Local Habit Brew Masters Dinner featuring Stone Brewing Co.
Join us for this unique food and beer experience as Local Habit Chef Nick Brune and Stone Brewing Co. Lead Brewer Jeremy Moynier collaborate to bring you five delicious courses of farm fresh food paired with five rare and unique craft beers from the brewery named "All-time Top Brewery on Planet Earth" by BeerAdvocate magazine in 2008 AND 2009!".
First Course: Bacon Wrapped Habanero Jelly Glazed White Shrimp on Creamed Polenta paired with Cali-Belgique on cask
Second Course: SonRise Ranch Oxtail Daube Glacee with House Mustard, Pickled Fennel Fronds, and Lavash Crackers paired with Double Dry Hopped Ruination IPA w/ Estate Hops
Third Course: Duck and Turnip Gumbo paired with Stone/Elysian/The Bruery Collaboration "Le Citrueille Celest de Citricado"
Fourth Course: Whole Brandt Beef Shank with Beef Jus, Horseradish Creme, and Caramelized Onion paired with Double Dry Hopped 15th Anniversary Escondidian Imperial Black IPA
Fifth Course: Chocolate Terrine with Crispy Bacon Brunoise paired with Stone/Troegs/Jason Fields & Kevin Sheppard Collaboration Cherry Chocolate Stout
Reservations are $50 per person, exclusive of gratuity and sales tax. Sales tax of 7.75% will be added to the ticket price at checkout.
About Local Habit
Local Habit, which opened in July 2011 is committed to using locally-sourced ingredients and supporting California-based purveyors with sustainable agriculture practices. Located in Hillcrest, the restaurant features organic foods made from scratch using seasonally available, local produce, house cured meats and homemade breads. The menu focuses on Nepolitana-style pizzas and tasty small plates and features a variety of items for people with dietary restrictions. Could this Stone beer pairing dinner be made with no dairy? Butter and tiny amounts are ok, but could the polenta and terrine be made without milk or creme? |
