Beyond the Frame: A Multimedia Arts Event in Oak Park
"Beyond the Frame" provides the opportunity to move outside the boundaries of the typical band "gig." The event, set in the intimate Open Door theater in the Oak Park Arts District, showcases the talents of area artists and friends of Nine Miles West, including author M.G. Bertulfo, filmmaker and playwright Michael Bassett and choreographer Gina Sigismondi, set to the musical accompaniment of vocalist Jean Iversen and guitarist Gino Sigismondi, who will be joined on stage by special guests Rob Klegon (percussion(, Dave Mendez (guitar), Erik Vaveris (bass), Ari Schwartz (Harp) and others.
The live reading by M.G. Bertulfo of her award-winning short story, "Community Building" will feature choreography by Gina Sigismondi, and will be followed by a special screening of Michael Bassett's latest short film, "The First Horseman."
