LINKED dancetheatre presents: If You Tame Me...
LINKED dancetheatre's third show takes it's inspiration from Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's The Little Prince. It reimagine's this classic children's story through the eyes of a family that is in the middle of a divorce. The father as the Pilot trying to come to grips with what he is losing and what is most important, the mother as the Rose unable to express the feelings she's been repressing and the daughter as The Little Prince learning about what it truly means to belong to someone. Marrying text and movement, this piece attempts to stay faithful to the message of Exupéry's beautiful book: that "you become responsible forever for what you have tamed".
IMPORTANT****
Please be advised this piece takes place entirely outside in the northern end of Central Park. It lasts approximately an hour and 10 minutes and includes a fair amount of walking over uneven terrain. There will be a few opportunities to sit but audience members should feel comfortable standing and walking for that period of time. You will also need a mobile device and headphones on which to listen to the piece's soundtrack. Once you purchase tickets you will recieve the link to the soundtrack which you can download. Make sure the songs are in the right numerical order once you transfer them to your device. The journey begins at the 108th St entrance to Central Park on the upper west side just off the 110th B/C subway stop.
