Music at Evergreen: The Attacca Quartet
Formed in 2003 at the Juilliard School, the Attacca Quartet (Amy Schroeder and Keiko Tokunaga, violins; Gillian Gallagher, viola; Andrew Yee, cello) has already won multiple national and international awards in its short history, including most recently the 2011 Osaka International Chamber Music Competition, and has collaborated with many internationally acclaimed artists. The program features Ligeti's String Quartet No. 1, "Metamorphoses nocturnes," Beethoven's String Quartet in A minor, Op. 132; and a late quartet by Haydn, to be announced.
