5th Annual Raise the Roots
Join us for a unique dinner at The Plaid Apron on Thursday, September 3rd from 6-9 pm.
Our 5th Annual Raise the Roots dinner will be better then ever, and feature the rich bounties of Summer on the farm. Dinner will be prepared by the owner and chef of The Plaid Apron, Drew McDonald, and his team. Doors open at 6 pm, and dinner will be served promptly at 6:30 PM. Hops and Hollers will be donating beer to the dinner, which is included in the ticket price.
Guests will have an opportunity to learn about Beardsley Farm, meet farm volunteers, and share their experiences gardening and cooking in Knoxville and East Tennessee. All proceeds from the dinner will directly benefit Beardsley Farm.
Special thanks to the following farms and local businesses who have donated produce and goods to the dinner: Mountain Meadows Farm, Everything Mushrooms, Bob Due's Terraced Gardens Farm, Three Bears Coffee, Three Rivers Market, Hops and Hollers, and Cruze Farm.

Pricing: Tickets are $50 per person or $180 for a table of four.
About the dinner: The supper will be vegetarian, and vegan options will be available upon advance request. The supper will be locally sourced and most of the produce is grown at CAC Beardsley Community Farm.
About beverages: Beer, tea, and coffee are included in your ticket. Guests are welcome to bring their own wine. There will be a wine corkage fee of $10 per bottle. Hops and Hollers will be donating beer which is included in the ticket price. The featured beer is Lazy Magnolia's Pecan Brown.
Special requests: Please email beardsleyfarm@gmail.com if you have any dietary restrictions or needs, to request a vegan option, and for any special seating requests (i.e., You would like to sit with friends who purchased separate tickets).

About CAC Beardsley Farm: CAC Beardsley Community Farm has promoted food security and sustainable urban agriculture through practice, education, and community outreach since 1998. Beardsley Farm grows and donates over 10,000 pounds of produce annually to food pantries and kitchens in the Knoxville area. The farm additionally offers extensive child, youth, and adult education programming nutrition and sustainable gardening.
All of this is made possible by community support and volunteers! Volunteers have the opportunity to learn a wide range of gardening skills, such as composting, seed saving, beekeeping, basic construction, and everything in-between.
