Community Series Membership
This ticket package will provide you two tickets to the 2015-2016 Community Series Concert Season. The performers include Lost and Nameless Orchestra, Van Cliburn Gold Medalist Vadym Kholodenko, An Evening in Old Vienna, The King's Singers, The First Greater Texoma Orchestra Young Soloist Competition Concert, and Guy Forsyth and the Hot Nut Riveters.
This world class season features some of the world's top performers in two time Grammy Award winning The King's Singers and the international artist Vadym Kholodenko, being flown from Russia specifically for this performance in Sherman, TX, recently awarded the Gold Medal in the 2013 Van Cliburn Competition. Two SXSW (South By Southwest) artists in Lost and Nameless Orchestra and Guy Forsyth and the Hot Nut Riveters gives our season a rounded experience with the unique sounds of Texas's live music capitol of the world at home in Texoma. Community Series is honored to present An Evening in Old Vienna, a celebration of Austin College's 2015 Homecoming with the Austin College A Cappella Choir, guest alumni soloists and local professionals. Finally, the Greater Texoma Orchestra will be hosting, in conjunction with Austin College, its First Young Soloist Competition Concert in March. High School age soloists will compete with a concerto movement from the selected repertoire list in January for the opportunity to perform their concerto movement with the Greater Texoma Orchestra.
This season is one not to miss. The concerts are presented at an affordable price for six evenings of world class artists. There are plenty of tickets available to host a business outing or your closest friends. Order your tickets today by ordering online or by contacting Community Series Manager, Justin Duncan, at 903.813.2037 or by emailing communityseries@austincollege.edu.
The Community Series concerts will happen at various locations around Sherman, TX.
