Who says lesbians don't have a sense of humor? On Thursday, September 22nd, two of Montreal's most interesting comics (who also happen to be gay) are teaming up for The Girl on Girl on Girl Comedy Show at the Flying Beaver Pubaret along with the very interesting and sexy Richard Ryder as host.
"I'm doing the gayest set of my entire life," jokes headliner DeAnne Smith, who, in her six year career, has appeared at the Edinburgh Fringe, the Just for Laughs and Melbourne International Comedy Festivals, and on NBC's Last Comic Standing and The Comedy Network. "And I mean 'gay' in a good way, of course."
DeAnne will be supported by hilarious war crimes lawyer-turned-comic Jess Salomon.
"People often ask me: what made you decide to leave the law and pursue comedy? The dearth of hilarious lesbians," deadpans Jess Salomon. "Now with Girl on Girl on Girl, I know I made the right decision."
While many comics focus on the "men are so different from women" line, there are plenty of laughs to be had in lesbiandom. The success of DeAnne's animated Youtube clip, "An Honest Lesbian Relationship" (http://www.youtube.com/user/TheRealDeAnne), is proof, with over 220,000 hits.
