CULINARY HISTORIANS OF NEW YORK PRESENTS
Paula Wolfert: The Food of Morocco
Join Paula Wolfert, cookbook author, in conversation with Linda Pelaccio, radio host of "A Taste of the Past," as they discuss Paula's forthcoming book, The Food of Morocco.
Paula Wolfert is the author of numerous cookbooks, including her classic book, Couscous and Other Good Food from Morocco, in print for 40 years. Now, in The Food of Morocco, she has written an accessible guide to Moroccan food, describing communal ovens, intoxicating markets, and the distinctive (and now, more readily available) ingredients that define Moroccan cuisine. She has won the Julia Child Award, The James Beard Award, The M. F. K. Fisher Award, and The Tastemaker Award. Craig Claiborne said about her, " She brings a sense of wonder to matters of taste. In sum, she is one of the leading lights in contemporary gastronomy."
The reception will feature a tasting of dishes made from recipes in the new book.
A book signing will follow the presentation.
