Join us for an evening on the patio learning all about our favorite grilling cuts, from the more popular to lesser known. You'll gain practical skills and valuable knowledge for shopping with a whole animal butcher that you'll take with you to summer BBQs for years to come. We'll also review the anatomy of the animal from nose to tail, highlighting those cuts that need to go low and slow versus a quick sear on a hot grill. You'll leave the class knowing more than you bargain for, including an overview of our strict sourcing standards for humanely raising and slaughtering in our local food system. In the end, the meat will speak for itself when we sit down to enjoy it with a cold one.
This class includes: - Learning what cuts work best for the grill and how to prepare them for maximum flavor - A hands on workshop with our burger forming tutorial and proper flipping procedures by the pro's - To marinate, or not to marinateThat is the question - Seasoning your grilling meats with sauces, rubs or just salt & pepper (an in-depth, philosophical discussion) - Eating, of course. After the hard work is done we'll take a seat to enjoy the fruits of our labor, with sides and salads provided by the team at Craft Kitchen. Bring your favorite beverage to wash it all down.
