The Floating City Reunion at Foam

This year, 2015 marks the ten year anniversary of The Floating City's first and only full-length, "Entering A Contest." We laid these tracks to tape with the brilliant and lovely Christopher Deckard, during the hay day of Penny Studios on Lemp Avenue in St. Louis, MO. "Entering A Contest" is a piece of work that we're all very proud to have created. For me, making this record was a magical experience and one of my fondest memories. Thusly, I decided to rally the troops for a reunion show!

We played most of our shows just up the street at the Lemp Neighborhood Arts CenterLemp but also played just about everywhere else in and around this fair city, including the illustrious Mississippi Nights and the elegant Sheldon Concert Hall. We also executed an extensive west coast tour before playing our last show in 2006 at LNAC.

I can't wait to play these songs again with Will Brown, Daniel McKenzie, Dan Meehan, and Gareth Schumacher! I can't wait to see who turns out for this thing and I am eager to share this experience with those of you who missed it the first time around.

We will of course be playing some jams from the "King Bear Frightened Child EP" as we as several unreleased cuts we'd been playing out for some time before we split. I couldn't be more pleased to be hosting this show at Foam and I am pretty stoked about our friends who are opening this show. That announcement and a link to purchase tickets will be posted shortly.
