The Three Sopranos, Featuring Isola Jones
World-renown mezzo-soprano and South Mountain Community College music faculty member Isola Jones will perform with two of her top students as "The Three Sopranos," in a special concert presentation on Friday, September 23 at 7:00 p.m.
Ms. Jones, SMCC Adjunct Voice Instructor, and her two students, Dawn Corso and Vanessa McGlothen, will perform a variety of individual, duet and trio classical and operatic selections, accompanied by pianist Brenda Hankins.
Ms. Jones has performed worldwide and sung more than 500 performances with New York's famed Metropolitan Opera.
"The human voice achieves its zenith of expression when performing classical music," says Ms. Jones. "I want the audience, and all potential students, to realize that if they love to sing, and are dreaming of performing, they can, with the proper instruction."
South Mountain Community College is one of the ten Maricopa Community Colleges.
