September Chapter Meeting
AIA Middle Tennessee welcomes Nashville Mayor Karl Dean to talk about sustainability, the Mayor's Green Ribbon Committee, and green jobs. A recent report in The Tennessean ranked Nashville 11th in the nation for the growth of "Green Jobs" and an upcoming report indicates that as many as 33% of those jobs are in the building design and construction sector. Amanda Little, author, writer and blogger about sustainability issues, will talk with Mayor Dean about what he is doing to promote and increase green jobs and how the architecture community can help.
