DAY AND NIGHT
The World premiere of two wonderful short plays,as different as night and day.  The first act is Miss Dixie Makes a Deal, a riotous farce.  The second act is Severed Strings, a surrealistic drama.  The plays are being presented at Richard Hugo House, a lovely, intimate theatre in Seattle's bustling Capitol Hill neighborhood.

MISS DIXIE MAKES A DEAL
A new one-act play by Caitlin Rose McGrath

Sarah Jane is so eager to get married that she has managed to repel every potential beau.  Her apartment is a testament to her string of dating failures; she owns a closetfull of wedding dresses and every bride magazine ever published.  Dumped by her latest boyfriend, Sara Jane becomes desperate, and Miss Dixie Makes A Deal is the hilarious result.

The cast of Miss Dixie Makes A Deal is Kiki Abba, Noel Barbuto and Rob Howell.  The director is Margie Slovan.  After each performance there will be a talkback with the actors or the playwright.

SEVERED STRINGS
A new one-act play by Nancy Bailey White

In Severed Strings, a soldier who has just returned to the States from serving in Iraq attempts to put behind the horrors of war.  On the verge of suicide, she is irresistibly and unwillingly drawn to an artist, an old woman, who sits in a park and paints potraits.  Severed Strings is a meditation on war, creativity and redemption.

The cast of Severed Stings is TaLena Bennett (AEA); Cathan Bordyn (AEA); Sharva Maynard (AEA); Emily Rudolph; The director is Margie Slovan. After each performance there will be a talkback with the actors or the playwright.

This production is being presented under the auspices of the Actors' Equity Association Members' Project Code. Donation only.

Suggested donations: $5,$10,$15,$20 and $25.
