Red Curtain presents Blithe Spirit
Red Curtain Productions presents a community theatre presentation of Noel Coward's clever comedy, "Blithe Spirit," September 23-October 9 at the Historic Everett Theatre.
Socialite and novelist Charles Condomine invites the eccentric medium and clairvoyant, Madame Arcati, to his house to conduct a séance, hoping to gather material for his next book. The scheme backfires when he is haunted by the ghost of his annoying and temperamental first wife, Elvira, following the séance. Elvira makes continual attempts to disrupt Charles's marriage to his second wife, Ruth, who cannot see or hear the ghost.
This is a lighthearted yet well-written "supernatural comedy" by one of the great writers of our time. The cast features local community theatre favorites, and the show is directed by Daniel Guttenberg.

Q&A
Question: |
I have thought about taking my thirteen year old granddaughter to this. But I see it is listed as not kid friendly. Is this because of inappropriate language in the script? |
Answer: |
There is no inappropriate language in "Blithe Spirit," and a 13-year-old would no doubt enjoy the production. As a rule, live play productions are not a good fit for very young children, and BPT doesn't allow us to only indicate any age suggestions. |
