Local Harvest Dinner
Vancouver Food Cooperative and WSU Clark County Extension are hosting a dinner showcasing farm fresh, local ingredients prepared by local chefs.
September 21st, 6:00pm at St. Lukes Episcopal Church join the Vancouver Food Co-op for a local harvest fundraising dinner. See how you can have a complete meal and more all from ingredients from our community (SW WA).
This is a fun way to learn what is available, meet others in the community with similar interests, help support our local farms and the Vancouver Food Cooperative who are working on opening the first food co-op in Vancouver.
This event is in conjunction with WSU Clark County Extension Harvest Celebration. The dinner is the beginning of a weekend event featuring local farms producing food for the community.
At 7:00 we have the privilege of hearing Jack Graves, Chief Cultural Officer Holland, Inc.(Burgerville), speak on buying local. Jack Graves created the role of chief cultural officer for The Holland, Inc. in 2004. His responsibilities include serving as a steward of the companys mission and culture, as a liaison between The Hollands vendor partners and internal teams and ensuring that the companys initiatives such as providing affordable health care and its commitment to sustainability are met. A true visionary of the industry, Graves has spent more than 30 years in the industry. He is committed to the implementation of sustainable practices.
