Made in Brooklyn Tours are guided walking tours with a Made in Brooklyn theme. They tell the story of Brooklyn's industrial revolution and its current revival. Each tour is a celebration of the creativity, ingenuity and entrepreneurial spirit of Brooklynites. On Made in Brooklyn Tours the stars of the show are glassmakers, metal smiths and woodworkers. They make wine, chocolate, bicycles, furniture, ceramics and more. Each tour is a unique experience! So come with me, a native and proud Brooklynite, and "See who's makin' it in Brooklyn!"
Added Bonus for visitors from Manhattan! Meet me inside the Wall St./Pier 11 Ferry Terminal at 12:45 PM. We'll take the FREE! Ferry bound for Red Hook through Buttermilk Channel and get a glimpse of Brooklyn's working waterfront!
Additional Details Made in Brooklyn Tours have a Made in Brooklyn theme. No two tours - even of the same neighborhood - are alike. Tour starting points are easy to reach by public transportation or ferry. We'll make a number of stops moving at a leisurely pace. Depending on how the group feels, we may go over the posted end time. You are encouraged to return to your favorite stops after the tour to shop, eat or drink. Show them your ticket and you may even catch a break!
If you want a tour that's mainly about Brooklyn's cultural diversity, its historic, political and literary figures; our architecture and food these tours are NOT for you! Strictly speaking, these are NOT food or beverage tours though there may be tasting opportunities. Please arrive about ten minutes early and use the restroom before we start. We'll be outside much of the time so dress appropriately for the weather. Wear comfortable walking shoes, bring a bottle of water, and don't forget your camera! My tours are designed for adults.
