Gráinne Hambly and William Jackson are two of the foremost harpers of Ireland and Scotland. Combining their extraordinary talents on harp as well as concertina, tinwhistle and bouzouki, The Masters of the Celtic Harp, have been performing all over the country and dazzling audiences with their artistry.
Gráinne Hambly's and William Jackson's program will be a unique musical journey spanning the centuries. You'll hear them perform the ancient harp repertoire and the music of the harper/composer bards of the 17th and 18th centuries such as Turlough O'Carolan and Thomas Connellan in addition to lively jigs, reels, and other dance tunes. In keeping with the spontaneity that is traditional music, the performers will announce their selections from the stage.
