THE NAKED AND THE WICKED
In Person: Film collector and author Jack Stevenson
Adults Only - No One Under 18 Admitted
Legendary film collector and author Jack Stevenson returns to Huntington to present a panorama of the history of America erotic cinema through the decades that is educational, and above all, entertaining. Stevenson will take viewers on a wild journey that includes: The silent Why Girls Walk Home, a nostalgic stag film from the 1920s about a group of women whose trip to the beach gets complicated when a young African-American kid steals their clothes - The Man Who Comes Around, a risque "World War II soundie about a bored housewife who gets hot and bothered when the traveling salesman comes to call - The trailer for Maria Montez's steamy and surreal Cobra Woman - A Candy Barr Screentest, featuring the famous blonde striptease queen posing and smiling in various situations - Foolish Hoodlums, a short about a meek bookworm fellow who ends up fighting and beating two leather-jacketed hoods from the AMC studio of Hollywood that supplied the mail-order gay market - The trailer for Edward D. Wood Jr's I Changed My Sex (a.k.a. Glen or Glenda) - The Nude Look is a "pitch film" attempting to sell nude photos and booklets to customers in adult movie theaters during intermissions that features unintentionally hilarious 60s dirty-movie lore - XXX trailers for Sex & The Working Girl and China Girl - Clips from insane 1970s Women-in-Tropical Prison flicks like Super Chick, Hot Box, and Sweet Sugar.
