Discover how Brooklyn is going green on the Makin' It Green in WILLIAMSBURG Tour brought to you by GreenHomeNYC and Made in Brooklyn Tours. See the creative entrepreneurs and artisans in Williamsburg who are literally re-making Brooklyn with a social and ecological conscience.

The tour begins at Mast Brothers Chocolate on North 3 St. and ends at The NEW New York Green Block Party on North 11 St. between Berry and Wythe. We'll also visit Brooklyn Bowl, Brooklyn Oenology, Metal Dimensions and VOOS Furniture on our way to the party!

Enjoy food, music and a host workshops on a wide range of sustainable actions like green roofing and composting. "See who's makin' it green in Brooklyn!"

Made in Brooklyn Tours have a Made in Brooklyn theme. These are not, strictly speaking, food or beverage tours though there may be tasting opportunities. No two tours - even of the same neighborhood - are alike. Each is a unique experience! We make several scheduled stops moving at a leisurely pace. Depending on how the group feels, we may go over the posted end time. You're encouraged to return to your favorite stops after the tour to shop, eat or drink.

My tours are designed with starting points that are easy to reach by public transportation or ferry. Please arrive about ten minutes early and use the restroom before we start. These are walking tours and we'll be outside much of the time. Dress appropriately for the weather. Wear comfortable walking shoes, bring a bottle of water and don't forget your camera! Note: These tours are designed for adults.
