Bellevue Chamber Chorus: Earth Songs
Celebrate nature and the environment in this unique concert honoring Mother Earth. Our program features the uplifting "Missa Gaia" (Earth Mass) by Paul Winter, influenced by jazz, folk, gospel and world music, with fantastic instrumentalists to bring this major work alive.
In addition, experience the inspiration of nature in shorter works ranging from the Renaissance to modern day. Rejoice in the awakening of nature with "Ecco mormorar l'onde" by Monteverdi and the atmospheric "Unseen Buds" by Steven Chatman. Gain clarity and inspiration from "The Web of Life" (text by Chief Seattle) by Jackson Berkey. Soar with the magical "Little Birds" by Eric Whitacre, and bask in the warmth of the "Canticle of the Brother Sun" by Robert Kyr.
We will also be displaying artwork by local Girl Scouts created as part of their 100th anniversary "Forever Green" project.
Join us for our exciting season finale!
