Guitar Concert Diego del Morao - Festival Flamenco Gitano

Diego del Morao is one of the most sought-after guitarists on today's scene, recording and touring constantly with flamenco's most well-known artists such as Diego el Cigala, Niña Pastori, and La Macanita among others. Guitarists around the world track down every bit of his music and learn his original material, emulating his technique. Even Paco de Lucía made a cameo appearance on his recent solo release "Orate" (2010 Cigala Music).
In his first Bay Area appearance,Diego del Morao plays a tribute concert to his father Manuel Moreno Junquera, the legendary "Moraíto," one of flamenco's most significant guitarists, who along with his uncle Manuel Morao, developed the signature sound of traditional Jerez-style flamenco guitar. Aficionados everywhere were shocked by Moraíto's tragic death in August at only 54 years of age. Moraíto was the heart and soul of the vibrant flamenco community of Jerez de la Frontera.
This concert will feature a fin de fiesta with Kina Mendez, cantaora from Jerez de la Frontera, palmas by Luis de la Tota and other surprise guests.

Where can I park?
There is metered parking along 24th Street. Meters are checked from 9am to 6pm Monday through Saturday. The closest public parking lot is at the SF General Hospital, located at 23rd Street and San Bruno.
