St. Louis Indie Bookstore Cruise
The second ever Indie Bookstore Cruise will start at 10am at Sue's News & More (1117 St. Louis Galleria. Then, a chartered bus will take you to The Book House, Inc., a local favorite offering where you can explore their cool, literary selection featuring the largest local history section in the area and peek around all the nooks and crannies of this historic building, perhaps even meeting their famous ghost along the way. The bus will continue to independently owned Hacienda Mexican Restaurant where you'll get a chance to sit and eat with some of the local authors on the tour. Next stop is Rebounds, a quirky mix of used books and teacher supplies. Final stop is Rose's Bookhouse, a new and used bookstore that's had a little something for everyone for over 30 years and boasts the best romance section in town.
Along the way, you'll explore and discover hidden treasures that you can only find in these shops and meet authors Susan McBride (Cougar Club, Little Black Dress), Greg Maracek (President of the St. Louis Sports Hall of Fame), Judy Moresi (Widow's Walk), Mark Tiedemann (Remains), Jennifer Jakes (Rafe's Redemption) and many more.
