Rose F. Kennedy Greenway Tour - Food Trucks, Farmer's Market, & Restaurants!
Note: Tour stops subject to change without notice.
Boston Foodie Tours ("BFT") features historical fun facts and award-winning best eats, including those of Best of Boston winners, James Beard Award winners, celebrity chefs, and food institutions. BFT earned the 2014 and 2013 TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence, and maintains a 5-star guest rating on Yelp!.
The 5-year-old Rose F. Kennedy Greenway is a 1 1/2-mile stretch of land comprised of five parks that extend from Boston's North End to the Chinatown Gate. The open space is filled with contemporary public art and weekday food trucks, and is bordered by some of Boston's newest, most popular restaurants. One even won Throwdown against Bobby Flay!
Our tour will begin at two parks: the beautiful Armenian Heritage Park, with its labyrinth walks, and the one-year-old Carousel Park, with flying animals representative of Boston's seafood bounty. Next up, the Mother's Walk, with its moving, inscribed bricks. The Walk will lead us to our first food truck. You might even recognize it from the Food Network's Great Food Truck Race!
Along the route to our next stop, a 3rd-generation lobster business, you'll learn about the Boston "Tree" Party. We'll follow that with a few more of our favorite food trucks, and a farmer's market, where we'll visit with some of our local food artisans, and sample their goods.
We'll end our tour at the restaurant of a James Beard Award winner. You may remember her from Bravo Master Chefs, and, if you're *really* lucky, you might even meet her!
Join us on Boston's tastiest food tour as we "Stroll. Sample. Savor. Repeat."
Note: A portion of ticket sales for this tour will be donated to the Greenway Conservancy.
