Hometown Hootenanny: Legends of Nashville
Traditional country, folk and bluegrass music will fill the stage as the Hometown Hootenanny salutes Legends of Nashville on Friday, Sept. 9, 2011, at the Historic Everett Theatre.
The Hometown Band pays tribute to country music greats like Roy Acuff, Marty Robbins, George Jones and Hank Williams Sr. Guest artist Marcia Kester offers songs made popular by Loretta Lynn, Tammy Wynette and Patsy Cline, and J.W. McClure will channel the soul and character of folk hero Jimmy Rodgers. Bluegrass favorites Money Creek Mining Co. offers classic tunes made popular by Bill Monroe, the father of American bluegrass music.
The Hometown Hootenanny is a family-friendly event, presenting live music and a variety of entertainers in a classic venue in downtown Everett.
