Yvonne Rainer:Performance Series at Dia:Beacon, 2011-2012

Over three weekends in 2011 and 2012, Dia will host a series of performances by renowned choreographer Yvonne Rainer at Dia:Beacon. Selections include works dating from 1961 to 2010. For Dia, the Yvonne Rainer retrospective program represents the continuation of its institutional commitment to presenting innovative performance and dance events. It will celebrate the depth of Rainer's contributions to dance, and provide a unique opportunity to consider her practice in the context of her peers whose visual art works are on view at Dia:Beacon.
