Write Your LIfe Workshop
"An unexamined life is not worth living" Socrates Everything in your life, from the mundane to the extraordinary, is a story waiting to be told. In this workshop, you will discover your own unique and powerful story. Michel de Montaigne, the great personal essayist said " Every man has within himself the entire human condition" and the intention of this workshop is for you delve deep into your own personal narrative. Writing from your deepest source, you will gain insight and self-understanding that can bring peace and healing. We will then make our words leap from the page to the stage, sharing them orally to uncover the power of story to transform your life and your listeners. Through improvisation, writing exercises, and group discussion, you will find your authentic voice, along with a way to express it. Ann Randolph creates a supportive, fun, and dynamic space to create. All levels welcome. A perfect week for those seeking to explore personal essay, memoir, solo show or the sacred practice of journaling.
Ann Randolph is considered one of the most gifted and innovative writer-performers in the country and has been hailed by critics as "revolutionary, Whitmanesque, and a tour de-force." Her Ovation award winning solo show SQUEEZE B0X was produced Off-Broadway by Mel Brooks and the late Anne Bancroft. Her current solo show, LOVELAND just finished a year long sold out run in SF where Randolph was awarded "Best Solo Performer" by the SF Weekly. Her stories have been featured on NPR, BBC and PBS. She teaches annually at Esalen, Kripalu, NYU, Otis and many others institutions.
